On Aug 3, Huobi Carnival 2018 continues to draw attention as blockchain ecologists gather under one roof to discuss the future value of the decentralised network and its innovative technology.
The congratulatory video of the Jeju Special Self-Government Governor Won Hee-ryong and the congressman Song Xiqing and Shen Baoluo marked the beginning of the second day at the Huobi Carnival.
First highlight: Jeju is transforming into an International Blockchain Hub
Won Hee-ryong, a governor of the Jeju Self-Governing Province, said during the carnival, “The blockchain is still in the infancy phase, anyone can challenge and become a pioneer.” He further explains that “Jeju Island is an internationally autonomous city and will strive to take the lead in perfecting regulations and applying international standards to transform this island into the city for blockchains.”
He also mentioned that for crypto-exchange to trade actively, the government should allow blockchain activities to be carried out freely. Moreover, he expressed Jeju’s willingness in cooperating with the government to form a blockchain hub city
In light of building the friendly blockchain hub, the governance of Jeju Island invited HuoBi Korea to advise on the expertise of blockchain. Simultaneously, they discussed the creation of Cryptocurrency Valley and possible plans of partnerships between Huobi Korea and Roger Ver.
Won continued, “When establishing a close cooperative relationship, the cooperation between financial institutions and administrative agencies can be maximized, and we will become the regulator for Blockchain.”
Zhao GuoFeng, Chairman of Huobi Korea indicated, “If we build a blockchain hub with the special municipality of Jeju, Huobi Korea will invite business leaders Wu Jihan, Founder of Bitmain, and Roger Ver, CEO of Bitcoin.com to lead the Blockchain industry through its global human resources network. Local professionals with influence and prestige formed an advisory group.”
On the other hand, the Speaker of the Huobi South Korea discussed with Wu Jihan on the support of the municipality of Jeju Island and the construction of the blockchain hub, indicating the interest of participation. Roger Ver, the business leader in the blockchain industry, said, “If you activate the blockchain business through Jeju Island, you will create a technological development and open a global ecosystem.”
Second Highlight: DATx reveal its new partner – UUNIO
DATx was invited to attend the Huobi Carnival in Seoul, South Korea. They spoke on the new Token economy model and revealing their latest partner UUNIO – a Multi-purpose platform with Social media, content, & marketplace. DATx is working on the development of its public chain DATxChain and has completed the internal testing of the DATxChain demo and the APX integration for advertisers. Next, DATx will provide an optimised solution for UUNIO’s content storage and data processing, and UUNIO’s operational base and market resources in South Korea will also help DATx to understand the Korean market.
