Jack Ma, the co-founder and executive chairman of Alibaba Group, met with Malaysian Prime Minister Mr. Mahathir Mohamad in Hangzhou China where locates the headquarter of Alibaba Group this August. According to Jack Ma, there are three main technological concerns of Alibaba Group now. The first point is relative to applications of blockchain technologies in financial markets. Blockchain and internet will reconstruct the world finance system in 20 years. The second is about artificial intelligence; whereas, the third focuses on the concept of IOT (Internet of Things) and it could be predicted that all electronic devices are smart in the future.
During the visit, Mr. Mahathir Mohamad reiterated his and Malaysian government’s support for the co-establishment of the digital free trade zone between Alibaba Group and Malaysia. This is the first digital hub of eWTP (Electronic World Trade Platform) overseas, which will serve millions of SMEs in Malaysia and Southeast Asia.
