India’s leading software company, Tech Mahindra will be setting up a new Blockchain development center in Hyderabad.
This comes at the time, when the Indian finance ministry will be coming out with a report on the acceptance of cryptocurrencies and Blockchain.
The new facility will come up at the company’s research & development arm ‘Makers Lab’ which will help the company to facilitate co-innovation in the space, developing enterprise grade solutions for customers across industries globally.
Under this, Mahindra will train 20 selected candidates to make them blockchain-ready in the intial phase and the program will be expanded globally after the success of the intitial phase.
The selected candidates will undergo comprehensive training in the lab post which they will be required to set up code, create smart contract and build solutions, thereby gaining technical proficiency in Blockchain technology.
The company is looking to train over 3000 blockchain geeks by the end of 2019.
Speaking on this Rajesh Dhuddu, Global Practice Leader, Blockchain, Tech Mahindra said, “As part of our reskilling initiative, we are providing a comprehensive training to candidates to enable them to leverage next-generation technologies and facilitate end-to-end Blockchain-led transformation for our customers.”
Dhuddu said, “Our R&D arm, Makers Lab will facilitate this collaboration between academia, research and partners, so that young tech enthusiasts of today can get trained on these disruptive technologies and become future ready.”
Tech Mahindra has Makers Labs across four locations in India at Pune, Chennai, Hyderabad and Bengaluru, besides labs in the US, the UK and Germany.
