Balaji Anbil, deputy director of the UK Department of Justice, said recently that the UK Department of Justice is investigating whether blockchain can be a tool for protecting digital evidence. He also stated that blockchain technology can be used to simplify the court’s process of processing digital evidence. The Queen’s Court and Court Services (HMCTS), which participated in the test, recently held its first meeting on the matter. Anbil pointed out that HMCTS will test the “inter-agency evidence sharing” technology later this year.
